As much as I mourn the warmer weather once January rolls around, I won’t lie and say I’m not ecstatic to break out my winter wardrobe. Sweaters, coats, scarves, hats — I’m all about a layered look. It’s just an opportunity to drape more fashion on your body, right? Shoes are where I really shine this time of year, and finding the perfect winter boots is an opportunity to both dabble in the latest trends and invest in a timeless pair that you’ll wear again and again.
Lately, it’s tall boots that are piquing my interest, especially an equestrian style with mid-height heel or a chunky lug sole. The Labucq Joan boot is definitely calling my name (cue me clicking refresh to check when they’re back in stock) as well as the Martine Rose python Chelsea boots in yummy chocolate brown.
So sure, it would be nice to be able to stroll down the sidewalk without hiding every spare bit of skin from the frozen air, but until the temperatures begin to thaw, I’ll be putting my most fashionable foot forward in my best winter outfits.
